Delete your data

Last updated : 23 October 2026

Remove your records from the app, and understand which copies need separate action.

Delete the local workspace

There is no Green Witch user account to close.

  1. Export a private backup first if you want to keep your writing.
  2. Open Settings → Your private data & reminders.
  3. Under Delete this workspace, type DELETE and choose Delete private workspace.

This removes the app-owned local journal, inventory, preferences and recovery copies in the Green Witch storage namespace, including its local support reference, analytics choice and purchase-verification cache. It also cancels the app’s local reminders. Editorial restrictions and withdrawal history remain so deleted or restricted content is not restored by clearing private data. Other apps are outside this namespace.

A store purchase is separate: Restore purchases can verify eligible access again.

Exports and backups

Files you exported or shared are separate copies. Delete them from the destination folder or storage service, and ask recipients to remove their copies if needed. Device and operating-system backups are controlled separately; use the relevant device/provider controls. Local deletion cannot promise removal from every provider backup.

Billing is separate

Local deletion and uninstalling do not cancel recurring billing. Use Apple or Google subscription controls. Store and RevenueCat transaction records are not erased by the local workspace action.

Other data requests

Email contact@mygreenwitch.app for a request about support correspondence, previously received analytics or provider-held information. State the type of request and only the information needed to locate it, such as a support reference or the email address used to contact us. Do not attach a journal export, passwords or card details. We may need proportionate verification. We handle the request under applicable law, explain any information that must be retained, and identify a provider’s separate process where relevant. See your privacy rights.
